Creative Boot Camp, a book written by Stefan Mumaw, the director of narrative strategy at First Person.
A process to break down my creative wall begins.
The reason I have started this process is because in the beginning of Covid, I felt this creative energy flowing to learn or re-learn lost skills.
As of late a wall has crept up after finishing an oil painting; I have been sitting front of my canvas and or computer just hoping something meaningful happens or materializes. I sketched something and it’s fine, but I did it just to keep creating, keep the work going.
When I do art work it is for myself; if it sells great but I never paint or do art for that reason. Design is for my clients or companies I work for following their guidelines or brand to solve a creative puzzle.
So, I embark on this Boot Camp to try it out. I bought this book 5 or 6 years ago and it has sat on my shelf waiting to be read, along with two creative activity books. I think I mostly ignored them is because I was nervous, I wouldn’t be creative enough to satisfy me, myself and I or learn something as a waste of time.
